Your arm prosthesis, step by step

01 — The process
How to get your prosthesis with Limbium
First assessment
Free of charge. We talk about your amputation level or limb difference, your experience with prostheses and, above all, what you want to do again.
Measurements
A quick, contact-free 3D scan of your residual limb and the measurements we need. For bionic prostheses we also study your muscle signals.
Custom design
We design the socket and structure from your scan, with colour and finish options.
Real-world trial
You test a prototype in your real activities, in the gym or day to day, and we adjust it with you.
Manufacture
We manufacture the final version with industrial additive manufacturing, technical materials and checks on every unit.
Fitting and follow-up
We deliver it together with your clinic, show you how to use it and stay with you for reviews and adjustments.

03 — Price
How much does an arm prosthesis cost?
There is no single price. It depends on the amputation level, the socket, the terminals or components and, for bionic prostheses, the electronics. Before talking about price, we look with you at who can fund it: the public health system, an insurer, a mutual society or specific grants.
After delivery
We stay with you
- Adjustments and reviews whenever you need them.
- Direct contact with our technical team.
- New terminals or upgrades if your goals change.
- Replacement of wear parts.
- Socket changes for children as they grow.
04 — Funding
Could it be free for me?
Depending on your case, your prosthesis may be fully funded. It depends on the type of prosthesis, your situation and who funds it. We review it with you at no cost before talking about price.
Review my caseSpanish public health system
The orthoprosthetic benefit of the Spanish National Health System may cover your prosthesis. We help you with the paperwork.
Insurers and mutual societies
If your case comes through an insurer, a mutual society or an accident claim, we coordinate the process for you.
Grants and organisations
Depending on your case, regional grants, charities or adapted-sport programmes may help. We point you in the right direction.

FAQ
Before you start
What do I need for the first assessment?
Just tell us about your case: amputation level or limb difference, the activities you want to do and whether you already have a prosthesis. Medical reports help us guide you on funding.
Does the assessment cost anything?
No. The first assessment is free and with no obligation.
Does the Spanish public health system cover arm prostheses?
It may, depending on your case. The orthoprosthetic benefit of the Spanish National Health System covers certain upper-limb prostheses in its common catalogue. We advise you on whether your case qualifies and help you with the paperwork.
How long does it take to get used to it?
It varies with each person and type of prosthesis, from a few days to a few months. We support you with trials, adjustments and follow-up until you feel comfortable.
